Mythgard Studios is a passion-driven indie team of developers and designers creating imaginative 2D worlds fueled by our love of storytelling, pixel art, and the Godot engine.

Our Origin Story

Mythgard Studios began with a dream shared by friends and gamers. After years of immersion in fantasy worlds, we decided it was time to build our own. With a focus on deeply immersive gameplay, Norse-inspired mythology, and handcrafted pixel visuals—we set out to bring Valerune to life using the powerful, open-source Godot Engine.

We're not a big team, we are passionate creators wearing many hats, collaborating every day to make something meaningful. Together, we represent both sides of the forge: design and development, heart and hands.

Meet the Developers

Tyrant

Role: Co-Founder, Director of Development

Tyrant is the technical architect behind Mythgard Studios. As Director of Development, he leads the engineering side of every project—from programming and game mechanics to web development and infrastructure. He also manages the business side of the studio, overseeing strategy, operations, and community growth. His passion lies in turning bold ideas into playable, polished realities.

Tero

Role: Co-Founder, Director of Design

Tero is the creative force and emotional compass of the team. As Director of Design, she guides the artistic vision, user experience, narrative design, and overall cohesion of our games. Tero is the heart of Mythgard—bringing calm, creativity, and clarity to every phase of development. Her care and consistency keep everything moving smoothly and on track.

HiTek

Role: Programmer

HiTek is the technical wizard of the team, specializing in programming and game mechanics. With a deep understanding of the Godot engine, he brings our ideas to life through code. HiTek is passionate about creating smooth, engaging gameplay experiences and is always exploring new technologies to enhance our projects.

Ynlay

Role: Programmer

Role: Pixel Artist
